HAVE YOUR SAY

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community in Burntwood as we prepare our outline planning application for a sustainably located new neighbourhood of high-quality homes and public open spaces.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive concept masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midday on Friday 20th June 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our outline planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Lichfield District Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

Do you welcome the landscape-led approach to development, providing much-needed new homes while retaining two-thirds of the site as open space?

What kind of homes would you like to see prioritised?

Up to 43% of the new homes would be affordable homes, enabling key workers and people on low incomes to secure a home of their own in Burntwood. Is this important to you?

Do you have any comments on the proposed layout of the new neighbourhood?

The proposed development will generate financial contributions for investment into local services. This is determined by the local planning authority. What are your priorities for investment in Burntwood and the surrounding area?

What facilities would you like to see provided at the community hub if possible?

We are proposing community car parking facilities within the community hub for the use of the wider community and for events at the local church. Is this something you would welcome?

We recognise that a low carbon future is an important priority for the community and will be delivering a neighbourhood of net zero carbon ready homes. This will include potential such as air source heat pumps, EV charging infrastructure, PV cells and the latest standards of insulation. Is this important to you?

There is the potential for a parcel of land to be safeguarded for the future expansion of Fulfen Primary School if required. Is this something you would welcome?

Nearly two-thirds of the total site area will be set aside as open space, including extensive landscaped public open space, with proposals to deliver more varied habitats and boost the biodiversity value of the site and provide biodiversity net gain. Is this a priority for you?

Are you, or is anyone you know, interested in securing a new home in Burntwood?

Do you have any other comments on our emerging proposals?
